Bob,
All of us are created in God's image and have a story and a purpose. Thanks for sharing that and for reaching out.
The old story of the starfish on the beach comes to mind.... You can't help everyone, but you CAN help someone.

Bob, you continue to amaze and remind me of those little things I know but loose track of. I truly enjoy your wisdom and learn every day.

By the way, I am carrying the Big Six with me now and using it a lot. I especially love 1) Deal with things the way they are, not how you wish they were and 2) control your own destiny or someone else will. How true how true.

Your Friend

Bob,
Thanks for bringing these books to my attention. I am not a Bible thumper although I am a faithful follower and believe in the Word. Recently I read Rihard Foster's, Celebration of Discipline, the Path to Spiritual Growth and found that these practices also give great insight to success on many levels.
I am a devotional writer and keynote speaker and often turn to principles in this book for inspiration.

The ability to communicate with confidence and power is a catalyst for so much. Whatever your passion, if you can give voice to it effectively, confidently and concisely, you will have a greater impact. One of the easiest ways to develop this skill is to join your local Toastmasters club. You will be amazed at what you can learn and how much fun you will have!

A lot of this goes back to surrounding yourself with the right people or the right team. One thing about the team is knowing where each member wants to go to best determine how to properly motivate him. Motivation is the key for a workforce and too often we motivate with false incentives. Even though money is a good incentive, it should not be used as the only incentive, because once the check is cashed the incentive is gone. But if you use the check along side a position and training that points the person closer to their objectives, the incentive is always there.

Let's start talking. Better yet let's start comminicating. Communication is not necessarily talking, but it is listening, demonstrating or using other mechanisms to convey a message. Communication is an art, but let's not make it a lost art. Because of the many forms of communication, we have to be alert to ensure that we don't miss the message. Our brain moves 4 to 5 times faster than most methods of communication, therefore we often miss the message because our brain has moved on.

The amazement continues, it just gets better and better. You talk about leadership and to be a leader does not necessarily mean making blind decisions because you're the boss, but more about making the right decisions at the right time. Surrounding yourself with the right people is sign of a great leader. When something comes up and you use your gut instinct to solve the problem is rarely the case. Instead you talk about the problem with the people that you surround yourself with and consider their feedback before you make the decision, after all that's why you put them there. And, more and more that's the direction the world and leadership should be going.

Bob this one was great. In fact, everything that I read by you just inspires me more. This where I want to be. There are so many places where one can serve or just do a little something. One thing we never know is who is watching us. We don't know what image is emanating from us, therefore we need to ensure the are best features are always at the forefront.
